JAC Group releases its “My Declaration of Human Rights”

JAC Group has released its “My Declaration of Human Rights” vowing to respect human rights to help achieve a society in which everyone shows respect for human rights, in alignment with the aims of the My Declaration of Human Rights project promoted by Japan’s Ministry of Justice.

じんけん宣言の公表

The My Declaration of Human Rights project serves as an initiative that aims to achieve a society in which everyone respects human rights. Initiated based on the Japanese government’s National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights (2020-2025) (NAP), the project involves having companies, organizations and individuals prepare a “My Declaration of Human Rights” expressing their commitment to taking action that ensures respect for human rights.

The notion of “fairness” has been a key component of the JAC Group’s Philosophy & Policy management philosophy since its inception, thereby culminating in a corporate culture whereby each and every employee is properly recognized and appropriately assessed on an individual basis. As part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, we engage in a company-wide project that involves empowering female employees, raising awareness and understanding of the LGBTQ+ community among our employees. We intend to redouble our efforts in carrying out the project going forward.

In addition, JAC Group has narrowed its focus among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to those that are closely related to its operations with respect to its main business of recruitment services. Of the 17 SDGs, we find that “Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth” and “Goal 10: Reduced inequality” consist of targets particularly worthy of our focus. The first of the two goals promotes decent work in terms of employment that is rewarding and humane. The second of the two goals seeks a society where all types of people are able to lead lives of vitality and equality.

We are mindful that the Group’s business activities may give rise to both negative and positive outcomes. As such, we aim to create working environments in which everyone is able to consistently work safely and with peace of mind in surroundings that ensure respect for human rights, without being placed in disadvantageous positions or environments.

As a global company with a diverse workforce, JAC Group will remain committed to its aim of helping to achieve a sustainable society in which everyone including its employees and stakeholders are able to enjoy affluent lives.
