Joining Recruitment Industry That Shapes Society

Throughout my career, I’ve taken on new challenges across multiple industries, starting with real estate brokerage and continuously developing my skills along the way. During this journey, I had the opportunity to interact with consultants in the recruitment industry as a job seeker. Through conversations with consultants, I found myself wondering:

“If I were a consultant, how would I fully leverage the potential of someone like me?”


That question sparked a deeper interest in the recruitment industry, its ability to create real societal impact and the untapped possibilities it holds. Once I decided to pursue a career in recruitment, choosing the right company was clear. Thriving as a Playing-Manager from Year Three

In my third year at the company, I was promoted to a managerial role and lead a team of seven. At the same time, I continue to work actively as a consultant. The market I handle is large and dynamic, with major corporations whose businesses are worth hundreds of billions of yen. It is deeply rewarding to contribute to these clients by introducing highly skilled talent, using the network I have built over time.


I also regularly support overseas companies in setting up their offices in Japan. This involves helping them understand Japanese business culture and assisting in the development of their organisational structure.


One principle I always keep in mind is to ensure that every interaction brings value to the other person. This applies equally to clients, candidates, and team members. I constantly think about how I can deliver meaningful benefits and prepare thoroughly to make that happen.


I take real satisfaction in seeing my ability to connect people and opportunities grow stronger.

When I first joined the company, I had no personal network, no industry connections, and only a limited understanding of the market. Still, I kept putting in the effort every day, and gradually, the number of people I engaged with began to grow. At JAC Recruitment, we have the opportunity to meet directly with both job seekers and client representatives. This approach allows us to accumulate information at twice the speed compared to a split model, where candidate and client are handled separately. Meeting people face-to-face has also helped me clearly understand their experiences and perspectives.


Today, my ability to connect professionals and businesses in my head has improved significantly, and the number of successful introductions has risen dramatically. There’s nothing more rewarding than knowing, “This connection wouldn’t have happened without me.”
