Enacted on 20/11/2017, Version 1
Revised on 31/10/2025, Version 7
This policy sets out the basic principles that apply when individuals affiliated with JAC Recruitment Co., Ltd. Including part-time and contract employees, as well as personnel from partner companies working within JAC, collectively referred to as “personnel”) engage with social media in a personal capacity.
All users should be fully aware that their online behavior, even if unintended, can influence the JAC brand, either positively or negatively. As such, they are expected to always act with responsibility and awareness.
Personnel must follow the guidelines below and uphold the principles set forth in this policy.
Definition of social media
For the purposes of this policy, “social media” refers to all platforms that allow individuals to share information, including but not limited to:
・Social networking services (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, etc.)
・Messaging apps (e.g. LINE)
・Video sharing and streaming sites (e.g. YouTube)
・Electronic bulletin boards, blogs, social bookmarking services, podcasts, and user review sections.
Purpose of using social media
JAC does not restrict personal use of social media by its personnel. Social media may be used for personal self-expression and for business-related activities, such as promoting JAC services, public relations, and cooperation in recruitment activities. The goal is to build stronger relationships with clients, job seekers, and business partners through responsible information sharing.
Basic principles for using social media
Once something is posted on social media, it is nearly impossible to erase it completely. Even content shared with a limited audience or posted temporarily with the intention of deleting it later may never disappear. Individuals must understand this, and always strive to communicate responsibly. Additionally, social media posts are exposed to a wide and often unpredictable audience. The way information is received can vary depending on the perspective of those who view it, and sometimes it may be interpreted in ways that the sender did not intend. Individuals should avoid careless remarks and make a conscious effort to communicate thoughtfully and with caution.
